Dr. Laura Quigley joined PEM as of April 2019, taking over the care of the patients of Dr. Nathwani.
Dr. Laura Quigley received a Master of Science from the University of Toronto Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME) in the area of Health Services Research. The focus of her Master’s thesis was care transitions from the patient perspective. Dr. Quigley then completed medical school at the University of Toronto. She was selected to the Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD) Scholarship Program and conducted graduate work and practicums to improve healthcare and the health of our communities through leadership and innovation. Dr. Quigley completed her Residency in Family Medicine through the University of Toronto at Toronto Western Hospital. She holds two fellowships through the University of Toronto: a clinical palliative care fellowship completed at North York General Hospital, and a low-risk obstetrical fellowship completed at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Dr. Quigley strives to make a positive impact on patients’ health journeys by providing comprehensive primary care, including both palliative care and low-risk obstetrics.
She provides prenatal care at Prince Edward Medical, and delivers babies at St. Joe’s Toronto.
Dr. Olya Keenan joined Prince Edward Medical in July 2018. She received her medical degree from the University of Calgary and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She worked as a family doctor and obstetrical care provider in Vancouver, prior to moving to Toronto. She looks after infants, children, adults, and seniors, in sickness and in health. She provides prenatal care at Prince Edward Medical, and delivers babies at St. Joe’s Toronto. In her spare time, she tries to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors with her husband and her dog.
Dr. Laura Thomas completed medical school and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in physiology, also at the University of Toronto. Dr. Thomas is enjoying growing her family practice at Prince Edward Medical and providing care to patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
Dr. Katherine Onyett-Jeffries joined PEM as of November 2021, taking over the care of patients of Dr. Gudgeon.
Dr. Katherine Onyett-Jeffries completed medical school and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph. She practices comprehensive family medicine for patients of all ages and lives in the neighbourhood with her young family. She is excited to join the PEM team!
Dr. Anna Holland’s medical degree is from University of Toronto. She completed her residency in family medicine at St. Joseph’s Health Center, where she was chief resident. At Prince Edward Medical, she has a particular interest in caring for the whole family, from newborns to the elderly- truly a family practice! She often meets her youngest patients within 48 hours of life and her wisest patients are well into their 90s. Dr. Holland has a special interest in treatment of addictions and holds a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine, from University of Toronto. She practices comprehensive family medicine and loves to take on the whole family.
Dr. Tecimer has a BSc from McGill University (1999), an MSc in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto (2001) and graduated from McMaster University Medical School (2004). She completed a residency in Family Medicine at McMaster (2006) and a Women’s Health Scholar Fellowship at Women’s College Hospital, through the University of Toronto, training in Women’s Health and Low Risk Obstetrics (2007). She practices comprehensive medicine, seeing people of all ages. Her youngest patients are newborns and her oldest patient is almost 100. She delivers her youngest patients at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto, working with a group of family doctors and visits her elderly patients at home. She lives in the neighbourhood and is excited to be able to walk to work!
Jennifer Boodram is happy to join Prince Edward Medical as office manager. She brings with her extensive nursing experience as an RPN for 24years. She’s worked in a verity of nursing homes and long term care facilities including being a Core Nurse at Special Care People, specializing in paediatrics and children with special needs for a number of years before she entered the private health care sector. Her devotion to helping people lead her to start her own medical courier company in 2002, named Jenco, which she has managed for 13 years serving home care clients, community care access centres and long term care facilities.
